Rev. Katy Shedlock,
our Deacon-in-Charge
Pastor Katy Shedlock was born and raised in Spokane and is a pastor, poet, and community organizer. She was active in choir and drama at Lewis and Clark High School and studied theatre and cultural anthropology at Drew University.
After college Katy worked as an educator, teaching English as a Foreign Language in Kazakhstan with the Peace Corps, GED classes in Allentown, and high school literature and creative writing at an orthodox Jewish Yeshiva in Pittsburgh. Katy received her Master of Divinity in 2017 from Iliff School of Theology and was ordained to the transitional diaconate in March, 2024, in the Episcopal Diocese of Spokane. Katy is currently working on an MFA in Poetry at EWU in Cheney, WA. She is married to Ben, who is a grant writer for Catholic Charities.
Rev. Canon Jonathan Myers,
our Co-founder & Vicar
Jonathan began his leadership as Pastor and Priest in charge of St. Stephen’s Church in Spokane, WA in Fall 2023, having previously co-founded and served as Vicar at the West Central Abbey.
Jonathan Myers is Midwest born and bred. He studied and was ordained in Seattle, and opened a brewery in Ashville, North Carolina before being called to Spokane. At heart, Jonathan is a community builder who is committed to developing partnerships to improve the lives of his neighbors, whether it is serving meals, reimagining liturgy, or working for justice and peace.
